2019 Honda Pilot Trim Levels
Making the decision to take home a 2019 Honda Pilot is easy to do, but deciding which trim is right for your needs may be more challenging. The Pilot has been delighting drivers and passengers since it was released in 2003. This midsize crossover SUV launched a third-generation version in 2016, and Honda has taken the bold step to completely update the 2019 model with a beautiful facelift. The Pilot has a new look inside and out, and includes revisions to the grille design, wheels, taillights, headlights and steering wheel. Important updates have also been made to the infotainment system and liftgate, and the important Honda Sensing safety suite is standard for all trims now. Honda Pilot LX
All lower trims of the Honda Pilot for 2019 offer passenger seating for eight people across three rows. For the LX trim for 2019, cloth seating in your choice of several beautiful options is standard. The front seats have manual adjustments, and the rear rows have a split-folding design with manual operation. The LX trim for 2019 also comes with automatic low-beam headlights, a standard remote entry function, a security system, rear privacy glass, a roof-mounted antenna, power-adjustable side mirrors with black finish, black door handles, manual air conditioning, cruise control, a push-button ignition, several concealed storage areas, Bluetooth hands-free connectivity, a 5-inch LCD screen, speed-sensitive volume control for a standard sound system, an auxiliary input and a few other features. The 2019 LX comes with the same powertrain that carries across the higher trim levels. This is an SOHC i-VTEC V6 engine that uses regular unleaded fuel and offers 280 horsepower. Its performance is enhanced by a 6-speed automatic transmission, front-wheel drive, anti-lock brakes, direct fuel injection, Eco Assist, hill start assistance, an active control engine mount and more. It has a lengthy list of active and passive safety features as well as many driver-assistance safety features. These advanced technologies include lane keeping assistance, automatic high beams and adaptive cruise control.
Honda Pilot EX
Taking a step up from the 2019 Honda Pilot LX, you will reach the EX trim. The EX trim has many of the same thoughtful features as the LX comes with, and it adds onto these to enhance your time on the road. The EX continues to be available with standard cloth material, and it features heated front seats that have 10-way power adjustments and lumbar support. In the second row, the split-folding seats have powered operation for your convenience. In addition to these enhances, the EX also has Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Cabin Control remote capabilities, an additional 12-volt power outlet in the rear cargo space, an 8-inch display screen in high-resolution, a superior sound system with more speakers and a subwoofer, a front USB port, integrated turn signals in the heated and power-adjusting side mirrors, body-colored door handles and side mirrors, programmable remote entry and more. The powertrain and safety features carry forward from the EX trim, but this trim also has cross traffic detection and blind spot monitoring as standard equipment.
Honda Pilot EX-L
The 2019 Honda Pilot EX-L is the mid-level trim, and it comes with a great selection of additional standard equipment as well as options that were not available in the lower trims. The optional equipment includes built-in streaming apps, a rear entertainment system, a satellite-linked navigation system and a 115-volt power outlet in the rear. Some of the standard features introduced in the EX-L include two memory options for the front seats and side mirrors, leather as a standard material, a USB charging port in the rear, a power liftgate, a HomeLink remote system, turn-by-turn navigation instructions, a compass, an auto-dimming rearview mirrors, integrated sunshades in the middle row, a leather-wrapped shifter knob, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, an acoustic glass windshield and a one-touch power moonroof. Its safety and powertrain equipment are the same as what is offered in the 2019 Honda Pilot EX trim.
Honda Pilot Touring
While the lower Pilot trims for 2019 are well-appointed, you may be eager to step up to the Touring trim. This trim adds a few luxuries and advanced technologies to your driving experience. These additional features include heated front and rear row seats, optional captain’s chairs in the second row, a rear entertainment system featuring a Blu-Ray DVD player, a satellite-linked navigation system, a hands-free power tailgate, a 115-volt power outlet in the cargo area, multiple streaming apps, a subwoofer and 10 speakers with a premium audio system, courtesy door lights, a mobile hotspots, illuminated beverage holders for the front row, blue ambient lighting, front and rear parking sensors, LED low beams with an auto on-off feature, reverse tilt-down side mirrors, front and rear acoustic glass and more. The safety features are similar to those in the EX-L. While the Touring has the same powertrain as the EX-L, the Touring comes with larger wheels as well as a shift-by-wire 9-speed automatic transmission and paddle shifters.
