Urgent: Rushing the 2032 EV Mandate!

I wanted to bring your attention to the proposed EPA Light Duty Emissions Tailpipe regulation. It’s a game-changer not only for the automotive industry but for anyone who owns a vehicle.

The plan is to have two out of every three new vehicles sold to be fully battery electric by 2032. That’s a bold move, and hybrids won’t cut it this time. 
Now, don’t get me wrong, battery electric vehicles (BEVs) are fantastic for some customers. If you’ve got ample access to charging, can afford a BEV, or don’t need to tow or haul long distances, for example, it might be the perfect choice for you. . 
But what about everyone else? 
While the goal is to reduce carbon as much as possible, if your situation doesn’t align with the BEV criteria, it might not be the best fit for you. We need to ensure that the rush to 2032 takes into account the diverse needs of all consumers. 
Let’s advocate for a thoughtful transition that considers the realities of various lifestyles and regions.

We are touched to share some exciting news with you all. Team Penske NASCAR Driver, Ryan Blaney, sent this video to us after his first-ever Cup Championship win, and we couldn’t be more honored.
In a special video message, Ryan expressed his gratitude to each and every one of you for playing a significant role in the championship race at Phoenix. He acknowledged the presence and influence of the matriarch of Rockford Speedway, Jody Deery – the beloved mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, and local hero.
Jody’s spirit was there, watching over Ryan as he clinched his victory, marking a historic moment in his career. Ryan took the time to learn more about Jody and the incredible contributions she made to the community and the racetrack. It’s evident that she was an extraordinary woman, and Ryan expressed his admiration, hoping to embody her drive and passion for racing when he’s in his 90s.
We want to extend our deepest gratitude to all of you who nominated Jody for the Advanced Auto Parts Home Track Heroes program. Your support and recognition of Jody’s impact over the many years at Rockford Speedway mean the world to us.
